DCP Bengaluru request media to cooperate in ongoing investigation of Renukaswamy's murder case

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], June 13 : The Bengaluru Police have requested the media persons to cooperate in the ongoing investigation in connection with the alleged murder case of Renukaswamy, a native of Chitradurga whose body was recovered in Kamakshipalya in Bengaluru on June 9.
DCP West Bengaluru, Girish, clarified that during the investigation, they have to make sure that there are no deficiencies or shortcomings adding that the case is not like any other and is demanding in terms of effort, forethought and volume.
"I need to clarify that during the investigation of this case, we have to make sure that there is no deficiency or any shortcomings in the investigation. This case is not like any other and is demanding in terms of effort, forethought and volume. Please bear with us as we are not able to disclose certain/many aspects of the investigation to protect the sanctity of the case. We are doing multi-tasking in terms of collection of information and evidence," DCP Girish said.
"The accused have to be taken to the crime spots for Mahazar and at the same time we may require certain urgent information from the accused for taking action elsewhere. This is sometimes done through the phone calls. For a novice in investigation matters, this may appear as a mischief but in reality, it is not so. Kindly cooperate in the effective and efficient completion of the investigation," he added.
Earlier, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was taken into custody in connection with Renukaswamy's murder case in Bengaluru, the police said on Tuesday.
The case has been registered at Kamakshipalya police station.
Around 10 people have been detained in the case.
"In connection with a murder case registered in Kamakshipalya Police Station limits of Bengaluru West division on 9th June, one of the actors of the Kannada film industry has been secured and he is being questioned. The details are yet to be ascertained and the matter is under investigation," the DCP (West) Girish said in a press conference earlier.
"Renukaswamy (33) from Chitradurga is the victim. Around 10 people are detained and they are being questioned," he said.
Further investigation is underway in the case.
