Delhi LG converts 112 temporary medical, non-medical posts into permanent positions at Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital

New Delhi [India], July 9 : In line with his commitment to ending Adhocism in government employment and providing better service conditions to Government employees, Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena, has approved conversion of 112 temporary medical and non-medical posts of various categories into permanent posts in Bhagwan Mahavir Hospital, Pitampura.
These 112 Medical or non-medical temporary posts that include Specialists, Senior Resident Doctor, Junior Resident Doctor, Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Lab Technician, Lab Assistant, Statistical Assistant, LDC, etc. will get converted into Permanent posts after approval of the Lieutenant Governor, in the process improving services at the Hospital.
The LG further directed these posts to be filled through Recruitment from UPSC or DSSSB on permanent basis as per the Recruitment Rules in a time bound manner, if required.
Right after taking charge in May 2022 LG Saxena issued strict directions to all Departments of GNCTD (Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi), to resolve pending issues of Government Employees welfare like Promotions, Service Matters, Cadre Restructuring, Recruitment Rules as well as Direct Recruitments through DSSSB and UPSC in a time bound manner.
Recently, 48 Accounts Officers were promoted to the post of Senior Accounts Officer in the Finance Department of GNCTD after LG's approval.
In Education Department, 411 Vice-Principals have been promoted to Principals and 51 Principals promoted to DDE, in last 2 years after approval of LG Saxena. Apart from promotion, Cadre Restructuring of DSS cadre of Delhi (previously DASS Cadre), was approved last year, after a wait of decades, on directions of LG. This step of cadre restructuring was a major step to end Adhocism in the Departments of GNCT of Delhi.
Saxena has also emphasized permanently filling up of vacant posts in Departments of GNCT of Delhi, through exams by DSSSB in a time-bound manner. As many as 25,000 posts have been filled during the last 2 years in various government departments. These posts include Teachers (PGT/TGT/Primary), Junior Assistants (LDC), Warden, MTS, Medical posts in Hospitals, etc.
