Delhi: Man dies by suicide, probe underway

New Delhi [India], December 9 : A man allegedly died by hanging himself in Delhi's Gautam Nagar area, said the police on Saturday.
The incident took place in the Hauz Khas police station area.
"A PCR call was received at around 4 p.m. today. Upon reaching the site, we found that a man named Dipesh Savla, who was a resident of Maharashtra's Mumbai, had allegedly hanged himself by the ceiling fan in his room," said the police.
"Later, he was rushed to AIIMS hospital, where he was declared dead. Meanwhile, the statements of his father and other relatives have been recorded and no foul play was detected," it added.
The police further said, "The deceased was alone at home at the time of the incident. The police have also recovered a suicide note from his room in which he stated that he was suffering from depression and on medication."
Meanwhile, a probe is underway.
