Delhi police arrest three in African national's killing

New Delhi [India], July 10 : Delhi police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three persons in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old African national in Nihal Vihar area.
According to officials, the accused trio was caught in Uttam Nagar area and a scooter was also seized from them.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rajesh, Abhishek and Mohit.
In the initial interrogation, the accused disclosed the reason behind the crime and said that the deceased used to sell drugs and had taken money from them for providing the narcotics, but he neither provided the drugs to them nor returned their money.
One of the accused Mohit is a drug addict, while Rajesh and Abhishek provided logistics support to him. All three accused were earlier arrested in separate cases and met in jail.
According to the information, the police team observed around 150 CCTV cameras to find the pictures of the criminals. Further, local information was also being developed to identify the accused and secret information was received by the team regarding the hideouts of the accused.
They were hiding in the Mangol Pur Kalan area of Delhi.
At the same time, the Delhi Police team conducted a raid at Mangol Pur Kalan but failed to nab the accused.
Further, on receiving secret information, one more raid was conducted at Uttam Nagar, Delhi and finally, the accused were apprehended along with the recovery of a scooty.
Earlier, it was reported that a 40-year-old African man, identified as Sunday Ernest Morah, was shot dead in Outer Delhi's Nihal Vihar area last night.
The incident occurred around 10 pm outside a garment shop in A Block, Vikash Vihar, Chander Vihar, Nilothi Extension.
The police were alerted to the shooting via a PCR call and immediately dispatched a team to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found blood stains on the ground and inside a nearby shop, but the injured man had already been transported to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital by an unknown individual. The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team was called to inspect the scene, and a complaint was subsequently filed.
According to reports, on Sunday Ernest Morah, a resident of Chander Vihar, had sought refuge inside the shop after being attacked by two armed individuals. He sustained three bullet injuries: two in the abdomen and one in the leg. Despite efforts to save him, Morah succumbed to his injuries early this morning.
