Delhi Police lodges FIR against woman for extortion after Court's direction

New Delhi [India], December 18 : Delhi police have recently lodged an FIR, after court direction, against a woman for extorting money after registering a rape case. An FIR has been lodged at Sultanpuri police station.
The accused first allegedly honey-trapped the complainant and then forced him to pay Rs 15 lakh rupees and marry her. When the accused did not give in, the woman lodged an FIR at Laxmi Nagar police station on February 21, 2022, and got the complainant arrested on February 23, 2022.
The complainant married her on April 14, 2022, after being released on bail. During his custody, she demanded Rs 25 lakh.
Delhi police submitted an Action Taken Report (ATR) before Rohini Court on December 14, 2023, mentioning that an FIR has been lodged under sections related to extortion and Criminal Conspiracy etc.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sanya Dalal, On November 29, passed a direction to register an FIR and file an ATR.
It was stated by the complainant Anuj Kumar that the woman is a habitual complainant and uses FIR to extort money. She filed many cases in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Delhi and other places.
It was also alleged that the woman kept extorting money on the pretext of implicating the complaint's family members in false and frivolous rape cases.
It was also stated that the accused woman and her mother lodged an FIR in Ajmer against some person and demanded Rs 18 Lakh to compromise the FIR.
