Patna (Bihar) [India], July 6 : In a sharp retort to Rashtriya Janata Dal Chief Lalu Yadav's claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government could collapse by August, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar remarked on Saturday that if Lalu Yadav is so good at predicting the future, did he foresee his own involvement in scams?
Lalu Prasad Yadav claimed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government at the Centre, which came to power last month, could fall by August and elections could happen anytime.
Attacking the RJD Chief over his statement, JDU leader Neeraj Kumar said, "Lalu Prasad Yadav has found a new job of predicting the future in politics. He does not respect the people's mandate. If he predicts future so nicely, did he see himself getting involved in scams or not? Did you see your future in the courts? Did you see the future of your children, who will have to go to the CBI court for trials?"
Reacting to Lalu Yadav's critical remarks over the BJP, Union Minister Nityanand Rai on Friday said that the RJD chief is "day dreaming" adding that the people of Bihar don't want "jungle Raj" in the state.
"Lalu Prasad Yadav is day dreaming. By making PM Modi the Prime Minister for the third time, the people of the country and Bihar have expressed their wish that PM Modi is the true son of India and can take the country forward. The people of Bihar believe in PM Modi, Nitish Kumar, NDA-BJP, they do not want jungle raj," Nityanand Rai told reporters on Friday.
RJD chief Lalu Yadav, earlier asserted that the NDA government is "weak", adding that the elections could happen anytime.
"I appeal to all party workers to be ready, as elections can happen anytime. Modi's government in Delhi is very weak and it can fall by August and an INDIA bloc government will be formed in the country," Lalu Yadav said speaking at the RJD's foundation day event.
Lalu Yadav made the remarks while addressing party workers on the Rashtriya Janata Dal's foundation day on Friday.
