Leader of opposition in the Assembly R Ashoka citing the alleged rape charged the Congress government with failure of law and order.
"Law and order in the state has collapsed to the bottom. The common people are living in fear. There is no environment where girls can move around safely. How long will you continue to run such a bad government by clinging to your chair? Resign from your position and free the people of the state from this misrule and anarchy, He posted on X.
Earlier, the Karnataka Chief Minister had attended the 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan' rally scheduled held in Belagavi district. He said that Mahatma Gandhi and his ideologies are still relevant to the whole world.
"Mahatma Gandhi, a devotee of Ram and a pure-hearted Hindu, was assassinated by Godse of the BJP family. We believe in Mahatma Gandhi's Hindutva. The BJP family is following Godse's murderous ideology. The BJP family, which is a hater of the Hindutva that Gandhiji spoke of and is opposed to Gandhian principles, is also anti-Constitutional and anti-Ambedkar. We are leading the Jai Bhapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Sammandeep Abhiyan with the aim of conveying Mahatma Gandhi's ideas to the next generation in a more meaningful way and realizing Gandhi's dream of Gram Swarajya. Mahatma Gandhi presided over the AICC session held in Karnataka a hundred years ago. That day, he increased the fire of the freedom struggle in this land," the Chief Minister said.
