Khairagarh (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 29 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda slammed Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for not even sparing cow-dung from the list of scams done under his government.
"He (Baghel) has not even spared cow dung. Did he not get involved in the cow dung scam?" the BJP chief asked the crowd while participating in a roadshow at Chhattisgarh's Khairagarh on Sunday.
Nadda said that the Chief Minister promised to ban liquor sales in the state but now it is available online.
"Did Baghel promise to ban liquor sales in the state? Now liquor is available online," he said.
The BJP chief also took a jibe at the Chief Minister saying that Baghel does not get involved in small-scale scams.
"Did he (Baghel) not get involved in liquor scam of 2161 crore rupees? Did he not engage in rice scam of 5000 crores? He does not engage in small-scale activity. Was there coal scam of 5040 crores? Was there Anganwadi workers' saree scam?" Nadda said while listing out the number of alleged 'scams' that took place under the Bhupesh Baghel government.
Nadda also mentioned the alleged false 'promises' made by the Baghel government under various state government schemes.
"Did he (Baghel) not promise 1000 rupees under the Vidhwa pension scheme? Did he not promise to give four cylinders free to every household? Have you got 500 Rupees promised to you under the Mahtari Dular Yojana?" the BJP president asked.
Nadda claimed that the Bhupesh Baghel government stopped the transaction of Rupees 11 lakh for the poor in the state sent by the central government.
"Narendra Modi had sent 11 lakh for the poor but Bhupesh Baghel stopped it. Should we let such a traitor stay in power?" he said.
Nadda said that the central government cares for the poor in Chhattisgarh and 13.5 crore people have been lifted above the poverty line under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
"When we come we serve you, care for you. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi 13.5 crore people have come above the poverty line," he said.
"The central government has provided all kinds of benefits to you, whether it is road, rail, national highway, All India Institute of Medical Sciences. But Bhupesh Baghel is responsible for Kairagarh's misery, the poor condition of its roads, poor health services, poor schools...," Nadda charged.
