"Does not know that mandate of people decides victory or defeat": Shiv Sena's Shaina NC takes jibe at Rahul Gandhi

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], February 7 : Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC on Friday took a jibe at Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegations of anomalities in the voter list of Maharashtra and said that he did not know that the mandate of the people decided victory or defeat.
Further, she state that Rahul Gandhi should think on why he make such baseless allegations against the Election Commission.
Speaking to ANI, the Shiv Sena leader said "He (Rahul Gandhi) does not know that the mandate of the people decides victory or defeat... He should think why he makes such baseless allegations against the Election Commission..."
She also said that results similar to the Maharashtra assembly elections would be seen in Delhi.
"You saw the trailer during the Maharashtra assembly elections and tomorrow you will see the same results in the Delhi assembly elections.... Rahul Gandhi holds press conferences and makes statements every day..." she further stated.
BJP MP Dhananjay Mahadik stated that the campaign had been launched by BJP to make sure all new voters were registered.
"BJP launched a campaign to ensure that all the new voters are registered...The problem with him (Rahul Gandhi) is that he suffered a humiliating defeat..." Mahadik said speaking to ANI.
Earlier today, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis rejected Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's allegation of discrepancies in the 2024 Maharashtra assembly election stating that the Opposition leader, aware of his party's imminent defeat in Delhi election results was attempting to "cover fire."
This comes after Rahul Gandhi raised concerns over the surge in new voters, particularly between the 2024 Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections in Maharashtra, highlighting that 39 lakh new voters were added in just five months after the Lok Sabha polls.
Addressing a press conference at the Constitution Club in Delhi alongside Maha Vikas Aghadi partners Sanjay Raut of the Shiv Sena (UBT) and Supriya Sule of the NCP-SCP, Rahul Gandhi also questioned discrepancies in voter registration figures, claiming that the number of registered voters exceeded Maharashtra's total adult population.
