Dussehra 2023: Karnataka's Mysuru witnesses dazzling air show

Mysore (Karnataka) [India], October 23 : In Mysuru, the Dussehra Air Show brought immense joy to the people, with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family attending the event on the eve of Dussehra at the torchlight parade ground in Banni Mantap stadium.
The air show was conducted by the Indian Air Force.
According to an official statement issued by the CM's office on Monday, CM Siddaramaiah thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his immediate response to organising the air show.
"The air show was truly impressive, and I must credit Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for his immediate response to my discussions during my recent visit to Delhi. Thanks to his prompt action, today's air show was a grand success, delighting the people. Happy Vijayadashami Ayudha Puja to the entire nation," the statement said, quoting the Karnataka CM.
Siddaramaiah also shared plans for the development of Maharani College in Mysore, emphasising the need for improvement in the education sector.
He allocated funds for various departments: 17 crores for Arts College, 51 crores for Science College, 99 crores for hostels, and the reallocation of 40 crores for Commerce College.
Addressing the ongoing drought issue, Siddaramaiah assured that necessary measures for drinking water and fodder supply were in motion, emphasising the importance of uninterrupted drinking water. He debunked allegations of an artificial electricity shortage, emphasising that power generation relies on coal capacity and domestic coal production challenges.
In the statement regarding former CM Kumaraswamy, Siddaramaiah dismissed his accusations as baseless and labelled them as "artificial," suggesting a lack of understanding of the energy sector.
