ECI delegation arrives to review preparedness in poll-bound Rajasthan

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], September 29 : A delegation of the Election Commission of India (ECI) spearheaded by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Rajiv Kumar arrived in Rajasthan to review preparedness for Assembly elections to be held later this year in the state.
Taking to the social media platform, X, the Election Commission of India, said, "ECI delegation led by CEC Shri Rajiv Kumar and ECs Shri Anup Chandra Pandey & Shri Arun Goel arrived today at #Jaipur to review the poll preparedness for forthcoming #AssemblyElections in #Rajasthan."
Rajasthan Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that on the first day of their three-day visit, the CEC and ECs held a meeting with representatives of recognised political parties.
Later, the Commission appointed enforcement agencies like state police, income tax, excise, and commercial tax. They also met officials of the railways, central security forces, Narcotics Control Bureau and airport authorities.
During this, a power point presentation was presented before the Commission on the preparations made so far for the upcoming assembly at the state level.
Gupta said that on Saturday, a district-wise review of the preparations for the assembly polls will be done in a meeting with district collectors, superintendents of police, divisional commissioners and inspectors general of police.
Later that day, at 7 pm, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar will inaugurate an exhibition organised at the State Institute of Agricultural Management in Durgapura under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation initiative.
