Apr 06, 2024
Nellore (Andhra Pradesh) [India], April 6 : Hitting out at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday said that this election will be between two ideologies where one supports poor people and the other supports capitalists.
Addressing the "Memantha Siddham" Mahasabha at Kavali, Nellore District, today, CM Jagan urged voters to once again form his government in the state in the legislative assembly elections.
"The upcoming elections are going to be between the YSRCP government rendered development to every section of the society and Chandrababu's alliance that deceived every section of the society. This election will be between two ideologies. One party (YSRCP) supports poor people while the other party (TDP) supports capitalists. Are you all ready to register another historic victory by defeating the opposition parties which are waging a battle to defeat Jagan who is trying to ensure victory for the poor," he said.
Further, highlighting the work of his government in the state, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that this battle of "Kurukshetra" is between the YSRCP government, which ensured the empowerment of underprivileged children via English medium education and made 31 lakh houseless women own a house and the opposition, which tried to prevent the government from doing any of the good to the poor.
"The election battle is between the YSRCP government which disbursed Rs 3,000 monthly social security pensions to beneficiaries at their doorsteps and on the other hand, the TDP which was unable to digest this fact and complained to EC using Nimmagadda Ramesh and stopped volunteers from distributing pensions," CM Jagan Mohan Reddy said.
"Chandra Babu Naidu embodies qualities akin to those of a movie villain. We are opposing such a person. The Jagan government is providing services directly to the homes of citizens in the state. Chandra Babu Naidu served as CM thrice and has forty-five years of experience. What has he done for the welfare of weaker sections? Can we recall any of his welfare schemes," asks Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister asserted that only five weeks until elections which will determine our state's future for the next five years. These elections are not just to elect MLA/MP but it's a fight between Chandrababu who is a habitual cheater and Jagan who is the champion of the poor.
"For the past four months, I have been asking Chandrababu to list his accomplishments or schemes that he implemented while he was CM for 14 years. He (Chandrababu) didn't answer my question, nor tell me about any scheme. But at least he should tell the people of the state about it! There's not a single thing that you can showcase Chandrababu. In 2014, TDP Alliance parties distributed pamphlets of their manifesto, only to deceive the public of the state," he said.
The YSRCP chief added that again Chandrababu and his allies are coming together with a colourful manifesto giving 'Super Six' and 'Super Seven' promises to deceive people.
Are you all Siddham (ready) to turn into star campaigners and inform people to be wary of them and not fall for their conspiracies? The election battle is between credibility and deceit. Are you all ready to defeat backstabbers and those who cheat? All of you need to press two buttons on the fan and give 175/175 MLA and 25/25 MP seats to the YSRCP and bring a government that delivers welfare and development without corruption and discrimination through volunteers," CM Jagan said.
