"FMGE questions still being prepared": National Board of Examinations warns against social media groups befooling aspirants

New Delhi [India], July 5 : The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) set to conduct the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) 2024 on Saturday (July 6) and cautioned applicants not to be fooled by "unscrupulous elements" that are allegedly trying to deceive them by providing FMGE questions in exchange for money.
The NBEMS said that question papers for tests are still being prepared.
"It has come to the notice that certain persons are fraudulently trying to deceive FMGE candidates through social media platforms. The aforesaid cozeners on such social media platforms are claiming to provide FMGE questions for the upcoming FMGE JUNE-2024 in exchange for a considerable amount of money," NBEMS stated in an official notification today.
The board cautioned the candidates that the question paper for ensuring examination is still under preparation, and thereby urged applicants for FMGE JUNE-2024 "not to be misled by such unscrupulous elements who are befooling FMGE aspirants by claiming to have questions of upcoming FMGE JUNE-2024 accessed through the authority."
"It is further advised that direct or indirect indulgence of any FMGE aspirants in any of such activities shall be appropriately dealt with by NBEMS," the notice stated.
Earlier, the police registered a case against various groups after an announcement was made on social media that the FMGE question paper and answer key were for sale.
An official communication from the state police media cenre said that examination was to be held on June 6 and the groups had announced that both question paper and answers were for sale.
A case was registered under the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfaire Means) Act, 2024 which was notified by the Centre last month to curb unfaire practices in public examinations.
