"Focus is on ensuring 100 pc strike rate on 80 seats in UP": Apna Dal chief Anupriya Patel on Lok Sabha polls

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], March 7 : Apna Dal National President Anupriya Patel on Thursday said that the focus is on ensuring that the National Democratic Alliance has 100 per cent strike rate on 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
A party meeting was called by the Apna Dal here today where the party workers were briefed on the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
"The election code of conduct will come into effect in a few days. Before that a special session of our party has been called. All the workers have reached here from the state. They have been given the mantra to work 24 hours a day for the 2024 elections. There are instructions from the party to all the workers and officials that now a total of five parties are included in our NDA alliance. Apna Dal has always been with BJP but now we also have Nishad Party, Bharatiya Samaj Party and Rashtriya Lok Dal," she said.
"Our focus is on ensuring that we have 100 per cent strike rate on 80 seats," she added.
Anupriya Patel also mentioned that her party recently sat with the leadership of the NDA and placed before them the views of her party regarding the seats sharing.
"Whatever are the expectations of the party, we sat with the leadership of the alliance and we have placed before them the views of our party. The seat which is of our interest has been discussed. Very soon the formula for seat sharing will be revealed to you," Anupriya Patel told ANI.
Meanwhile, several leaders from different political parties met with a delegation of the Election Commission of India (ECI) in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow.
Leaders from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Apna Dal, and Congress visited the ECI delegation to discuss various issues related to the upcoming polls.
