Former Sarpanch's husband found dead in MP's Indore; case registered

Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], July 8 : A former sarpanch's husband, who was missing from his residence, was found dead in a forest in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district, a police official said on Monday.
The deceased was identified as Dilip Bundela, a resident of Choral and his body was found covered with leaves in the jungle of Choral in the district on Monday morning, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP, Rural) Umakant Chaudhary said.
"Yesterday, a missing complaint was filed in Simrol police station in the district in which the husband of a former sarpanch of Choral, Dilip Bundela was reported to be missing. This morning, his body was recovered from a jungle. Police and FSL (Forensic Science Laboratory) team investigated the spot and the body was sent for the post mortem," said DCP Umakant Chaudhary.
Investigation into the matter is going on and statements of family members are being recorded. In the preliminary investigation, it came to light that he was attacked with some sharp-edge weapon like an axe on neck, face and head. There were wounds on his hand as well, the officer said.
"It is a case of murder and the body was found covered with leaves in the jungle. Further investigation into the matter is underway," he added.
