New Delhi [India], October 10 : Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami paid tributes the veteran Industrialist Ratan Tata who passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai.
Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons, passed away at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai aged 86.
In a post on X, CM Dhami said that Ratan Tata dedicated his entire life for the industrial progress and social development of the country.
"It is very sad to receive the news of the demise of India's famous industrialist Shri Ratan Tata ji. He dedicated his entire life for the industrial progress and social development of the country. His vision, dedication and business acumen not only took the Tata Group to new heights but also played an important role in the development of the nation. He did unprecedented work in the field of employment generation, social empowerment and innovation. His life is a source of inspiration for all of us. Heartfelt tribute!" he said.
The Telangana Chief Minister Office also posted on X and paid tributes to the veteran industrialist.
"Chief Minister, Revanth Anumula is deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Ratan Tata, one of India's greatest industrialists. A visionary leader, humanitarian, and legendary figure in India's corporate world, Tata's life was an extraordinary journey of humility and success. Under his exceptional leadership, the Tata brand soared to unparalleled heights, conquering new horizons and filling every Indian with pride. His unmatched contributions to making India a global industrial power have left an indelible mark," the Telangana CMO said.
It asserted further that Ratan Tata's legacy of business excellence, unwavering ethics, and commitment to social good will continue to inspire generations, especially the youth of an aspirational and enterprising India.
"In his passing, India has lost not only an industrial icon but a beloved son who embodied the true spirit of service and integrity. There will never be another like him. The Chief Minister extends his heartfelt condolences to the Tata family and to the countless Indians who mourn this immense loss. Ratan Tata's contributions will be remembered forever, and his spirit will continue to guide us," it added.
Former Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan extended his condolences on the passing of Ratan Tata.
He emphasized Tata's unwavering commitment to integrity, innovation, and philanthropy, noting how his contributions touched countless lives. He stated that Tata's legacy would continue to inspire generations to come.
He conveyed his thoughts and prayers to Tata's family and all those who admired him, expressing his hope that his soul rests in eternal peace.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Nara Lokesh also posted on X and said that a legendary entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ratan Tata was admired for his, grace, humility, and integrity.
"He had a vision that transcended beyond the corporate world, addressing the needs and aspirations of the country's middle class. On behalf of the youth of Andhra Pradesh, I thank him for his contributions to our state's progress, especially the parting gift of TCS to Vizag. His legacy will be cherished, inspiring generations to come. May he rest in peace. Heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and Tata Group," he said.
Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav said that the passing of Ratan Tata is an irreparable loss not only for the industrial world but for all Indians.
"Today the country has lost not only a great industrialist but also a very sensitive person who was always dedicated towards national service and humanity. His departure will always leave a void not only in India but also in the world industry. His contribution to the development of the country will remain unforgettable. I pray to Baba Mahakal to give a place to the departed soul in his abode and also give strength to every grieving person to bear this immense sorrow," he said on X.
Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai highlighted that the countrymen will always remember Tata's remarkable work in the field of education, health care, cleanliness, human welfare and his contribution in strengthening the country's economy.
"The news of the demise of renowned industrialist, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan awardee Ratan Tata ji is extremely sad. He established the Indian industry at the highest level. Indians will always remember his remarkable work in the field of education, health care, cleanliness, human welfare and his contribution in strengthening the country's economy. His simple life, moral leadership and spirit of philanthropy were an example. He will always live in our memories. His demise is an irreparable loss for India and the industry. The unprecedented work done by him for better change in the country and society will remain a source of inspiration for all of us. I humbly pray to God to grant peace to the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family and his well-wishers," CM Sai said.
Aam Aadmi Party supremo and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal also posted on X an said that India has lost its true "Ratan" who turned the impossible into the possible.
"Ratan Tata's legacy will remain a beacon of inspiration for generations to come," he said.
Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena also condoled the demise of veteran industrialist and said, "You not only carried forward the colossal legacies you inherited, but enriched & enhanced them. My heartfelt tributes and condolences on your passing away. India will forever remember you."
Tamil Nadu Bharatiya Janata Party President K Annamalai posted on X and said that Ratan Tata, who gave a new meaning to charity & philanthropy throughout his living life; an ethical business leader who had always put fair practices & country's interest over any short-term needs; who had imprinted his strong unshakeable values on the illustrious Tata Group with its strong corporate governance principles is no more with us!
"I pray for his eternal sadagati and offer my sincere condolences to the Tata Group and his near and dear ones!" Annamalai said.
Maharashtra Governor CP Radhakrishnan expressed deep grief over Ratan Tata's demise and said that Ratan was one of the brightest jewels of the global Tata empire founded by the late Jamshed ji Tata 150 years ago.
"Adopting modern management practices, Ratan Tata established the Tata Group as a trusted Indian global brand, without ever compromising with the vision of the founding fathers. The Tata Group has touched the lives of each one of the 1.4 billion people of India through its products and services; the credit of which goes as much to the vision of Ratan Tata as to the Tata group. At a time when there is erosion of values, Ratan Tata upheld and safeguarded the best of ethics and moral values in his personal, social and professional life. Ratan Tata was truly the 'conscience keeper' of Indian industry and the nation," he said.
"As we strive to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat, adopting the values of trust, excellence and innovation so dear to him in every field will be a real tribute to Ratan Tata. I pay my tribute to this great sage, who thought of the sustainable future of humanity," Governor Radhakrishnan said.
