New Delhi [India], August 20 : Union Minister Piyush Goyal on Tuesday hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the cleanliness drive carried out at all the religious locations and assured that cleanliness will increase on a large scale in the coming days.
"Prime Minister Narendra Modi had made an appeal that all the religious places in the country, all the locations where devotees come in large numbers, irrespective of religion, should be beautified, cleanliness should be maintained and devotees should get facilities. Prime Minister Modi has given the responsibility of ensuring this systematically to all citizens," said the Union Minister.
"I come to Hanuman Temple every Tuesday for darshan and many times I have also run cleanliness campaigns here. Everyone has been assured that they will also cooperate and the government or some organisation can spend on it. Today, discussions were held about its beautification and cleanliness. I am fully confident that in the coming days, the cleanliness here will increase on a large scale," he added.
Earlier, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami participated in the 'Swachhta Apnao, Bimari Bhagao' programme under the special cleanliness campaign at Gandhi Park Dehradun.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister flagged off cleanliness vehicles (litre drinking cleaning machines) for 13 districts through the Panchayati Raj Department. The Chief Minister also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi by cleaning his statue and also administered the oath of cleanliness to everyone.

A special cleanliness campaign is going on in the state from August 12 to 15.
