"Gita is source of complete knowledge...": JP Nadda in Kurukshetra

Kurukshetra (Haryana) [India], December 21 : Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president JP Nadda on Thursday reached Haryana's Kurukshetra to attend the International Gita Mahotsav and said that Gita is the source of complete knowledge.
Addressing the International Gita Mahotsav, BJP national president Nadda said that the efforts being made for the circulation of the Gita are unmatched and praiseworthy.
"I am overwhelmed after coming here...The efforts being made for the circulation of the Gita are unmatched and praiseworthy...Gita is the source of complete knowledge," Nadda said.
He further said that everyone present in the Mahotsav is proud today because we have made efforts to reawaken it
"People were forgetting their 'Granth' and history...Everyone present here is proud that today, through the International Gita Mahotsav, we have made efforts to reawaken it," he added.
The 700-verse Hindu scripture known as the Bhagavad Gita is a subset of the Mahabharata, a work of literature that dates to the second half of the first millennium BCE. It is regarded by Hindus as one of their holy scriptures. The Gita is framed as a conversation between Arjuna and Krishna in a narrative format. 5,159 years have passed since Gita's inception, it was written by Veda Vyas. It is narrated in Dwapar Yuga by Lord Krishna to Arjuna at the battlefield of Kurukshetra. Hindus revere Kurukshetra, located in the Indian state of Haryana.
