"Glad people stood by us:" Pawan Kalyan on Andhra Pradesh alliance victory

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 5 : Actor turned politician and Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan expressed his gratitude and sense of duty following his alliance's significant win in Andhra Pradesh, both in Lok Sabha and Assembly polls. He said that being a part of the NDA feels good.
"I'm glad people stood by us. I feel very accountable and responsible for the mandate. It feels good to see such a thumping majority for our alliance and being a part of it I feel good. We will work towards whatever we have promised," Kalyan said.
He also mentioned that after today's scheduled NDA meeting, the power-sharing and further procedures will be discussed.
The NDA registered a massive victory winning 164 out of the 175 seats in the Andhra Pradesh assembly. TDP won 135 seats, JanaSena party won 21 seats, while the BJP won 8 seats in assembly elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) contested the Andhra Pradesh elections alongside Chandrababu Naidu's Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Pawan Kalyan's Jana Sena Party.
The alliance performed strongly, securing 21 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats in the state. TDP won 16 seats, BJP three and Janasena Party two.
