Goa Maritime Conclave to be held from October 29 to 31

New Delhi [India], October 25 : The Indian Navy under the aegis of Naval War College, Goa will hold the fourth edition of Goa Maritime Conclave- 2023 from October 29 to 31.
According to Indian Navy, "The theme for this year's edition of GMC is Maritime Security in the Indian Ocean Region: Converting Common Maritime Priorities into Collaborative Mitigating Frameworks, which has been derived keeping in mind the necessity of 'synergising and collaborating efforts' in the maritime domain towards achieving maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region (IOR)."
"At the GMC-23, Adm R Hari Kumar, Chief of the Naval Staff of Indian Navy would be hosting Chiefs of Navies/ Heads of Maritime Forces/ Senior Representatives from 12 Indian Ocean littorals, including Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and Thailand. Raksha Mantri, Rajnath Singh has consented to be the Chief Guest and he would deliver the Keynote Address of GMC-23" read the release from Indian Navy.
Earlier, under the aegis of Eastern Naval Command, the Naval Officer-in-Charge, Andhra Pradesh conducted Exercise Prasthan 2023 for security of offshore development area in Kakinada.As per a Navy statement, the exercise was conducted on the Rig ship Platinum Explorer of ONGC and RG Fixed Oil Platform of Vedanta Ltd.
