"The experience of interacting with the sisters of the Sakhi Mandal and learning about their achievements at the Sakhi Samvad program was very heartwarming and uplifting. Also heard the questions and presentations of the sisters of Sakhimandal. Gujarat government will also make sure efforts for its proper resolution. Many sisters of Sakhimandal in rural areas have become the financial shield of their families by earning millions. The sound of self-reliance and eagerness to do something in the voice of such sisters was seen in this program. The contribution of mothers-sisters in immortality will contribute greatly to making India self-reliant and developed," the CM added.
The transformational story of women from the villages of Gujarat has emerged as a beacon of inspiration. An example of this is how in 2021-22, 8,500 women from Gujarat collected 5,000 metric tonnes of limbodi in just three months, generating a remarkable income of Rs 4 crore, the release stated.
