"Grateful for support," Naveen Jindal thanks people after victory from Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat

Ambala (Haryana) [India], June 5 : Bharatiya Janata Party workers expressed their jubilation and celebrated on Tuesday after party candidate Naveen Jindal won from the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency in Haryana.
Naveen Jindal thanked the public of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency, the party's top leadership and the party workers for their support.
The newly elected MP, Naveen Jindal said, "We've got a very warm response from the public of Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency and I am grateful for their support and faith they had bestowed in me and the party."
"I further want to express my gratitude to the party's top leadership, as, due to their blessings people came and voted for me. I also want to thank Haryana's Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former MLA of Ladwa, Pawan Saini and various leaders of the party who not only supported us but also guided us constantly."
He further gave credit for his victory to the party workers.
"I want to give the credit for my victory to the party workers, who worked hard every day to deliver our and Modi Ji's message to the public. In return, people have bestowed their faith in us and Modi Ji for which I am very grateful. We will try our best to fulfil the expectations of the public."
According to the Election Commission of India, Naveen Jindal won the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat with a margin of 29,021 votes. He was facing a major competition from Sushil Gupta of Aam Aadmi Party. Overall, Naveen Jindal acquired 5,42,175 votes whereas Sushil Gupta acquired 5,13,154 votes.
Naveen Jindal is an Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and former Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Kurukshetra, Haryana in the 14th and 15th Lok Sabha. He currently serves as the Chairman of Jindal Steel and Power Limited and Chancellor of O. P. Jindal Global University.
Kurukshetra is one of the 10 Lok Sabha (parliamentary) constituencies in Haryana state in India which covers the entire Kurukshetra and Kaithal districts and part of Yamunanagar district.
Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat was initially Kaithal Lok Sabha seat and till 1977 its headquarters was also Kaithal. Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat came into existence in 1977.
Notably, in Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party won five seats and the Indian National Congress won other five seats.
The final count for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has been concluded with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing a total of 240 seats. Despite this being fewer than anticipated, the BJP maintained a decisive lead over the Opposition, Congress, which garnered 99 seats.
