"Guarantee budget": Tripura CM Manik Saha on interim budget 2024

Agartala (Tripura) [India], February 1 : Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his gratitude to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharama and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for presenting a "guarantee" budget.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Thursday presented the Interim budget 2024.
Speaking with ANI, CM Saha said, "The budget presented a glimpse into realising PM Modi's goal of developing India by 2047... I want to thank PM Modi and FM Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting the 'Guarantee' budget..."
He said that the Prime Minister always maintained that there are four types of castes in India. "Women, farmers, the poor, and youth. The budget was made keeping in focus these four groups".
He said that the rooftop solarization scheme,announced by FM Sitharaman in her budget speech, "will save a lot of electricity."
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, in her Budget speech today, said that through rooftop solarization, one crore households will be enabled to obtain up to 300 units of free electricity every month.
This scheme followed the resolve of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the historic Pran Pratishta of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
The Budget Session of Parliament commenced on Wednesday with President Droupadi Murmu addressing a joint sitting of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
The Indian economy is projected to grow close to 7 per cent in the financial year 2024-25 which starts this April, said the Ministry of Finance in a review report.
India's economy grew 7.2 per cent in 2022-23 and 8.7 per cent in 2021-22. The Indian economy is expected to grow 7.3 per cent in the current financial year 2023-24, remaining the fastest-growing major economy.
