Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel holds security review meeting ahead of India-Pakistan clash in Ahmedabad

Gandhinagar (Gujarat) [India], October 9 : In view of the India vs Pakistan World Cup match in Ahmedabad next week, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel on Monday held a high-level meeting and reviewed the security measures being taken by the state police.
India's high-octane clash against Pakistan is on October 14 at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium.
Gujarat Chief Minister also took note of the security measures at the Narendra Modi Stadium, safety measures of the audience and traffic measures during the match.
While speaking to ANI, state Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi said that the Chief Minister took stock of preparations and has directed all agencies to make sure that everything goes smoothly.
"Thousands of people are coming to watch this match. The CM has directed all agencies to make sure that everything goes smoothly. He has taken a review of the preparations for the match," Sanghvi said.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has already released 14,000 tickets for the much-awaited match.
'The Men in Green' will be out for revenge after India dominated them in a thumping 228-run victory in the Asia Cup Super Four stage last month.
Meanwhile, India kicked off its World Cup campaign with a six-wicket win over five-time champion Australia on Sunday.
The match was earlier to be played on October 15, Monday, but the security agencies advised the BCCI to reschedule the match to October 14 as October 15 is the first day of 'Navratri'.
