Under the guidance of Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, Kheda district officials and employees created a 'Karmayogi Van' by planting approximately 4,000 saplings of various plant species over 1.90 hectares in Survey Number 386 of Piplag village in Kheda.

This initiative, part of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign, has been supported by the Social Forestry Department and Piplag Gramme Panchayat.
On August 15, 2024, during the state-level Independence Day celebrations in Nadiad, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will further advance this effort by planting a sapling in the 'Karmayogi Van' of Piplag.
At the heart of the forest, a symbolic sculpture of a mother and child will also be unveiled by Chief Minister Patel, embodying the spirit of the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' campaign.
The gesture of planting a tree in memory of Mother symbolises our sincere dedication to returning to nature what we have been given.
The 'Karmayogi Van' in Piplag was established by officials and employees from the Revenue Department, Panchayat Department, Police Department, and Education Department, who planted trees from August 7 to 10, each marked with plaques honouring their mothers.
On August 7, the Revenue Department led a tree plantation programme with the District Collector, Additional Resident Collector, and other revenue officials and employees.

The Piplag Gramme Panchayat has played a crucial role in supporting 'Karmayogi Van' by providing a bore and electric motor to aid in the growth of the 4,000 saplings, with active public involvement.
Besides, a dedicated room has been planned to store essential tools such as shovels, axes, and other equipment necessary to take care of the saplings and trees.
To protect the entire 1.90-hectare area of the 'Karmayogi Van,' a cement wall has been constructed to prevent animal intrusion and protect the saplings. Gates on both sides of the forest facilitate the movement of mini tractors for land preparation and planting.
Government employees in the Kheda district have actively participated in the Prime Minister's campaign, reflecting their commitment to nature and honouring mothers through this initiative.
Their collective efforts make a significant contribution to addressing critical issues such as global warming and climate change.
