Guwahati: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal joins PM Modi at 'Rozgar Mela', 144 candidates receive appointment letters

Guwahati (Assam) [India], October 29 : Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal virtually joined Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the 'Rozgar Mela' from Guwahati.
A total of 144 successful candidates ceremonially received their appointment letters at the Rozgar Mela in Guwahati, securing positions in various government departments such as India Post as well as institutions like CRPF and NIT Manipur.
The candidates have been appointed to several government institutions and departments, including NIT Manipur, CRPF, Oil India Limited, and the Department of Post, among others.
The Rozgar Mela was organized at 40 locations nationwide, with new recruits joining the Central government across various ministries and departments, such as the Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Defence, and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Speaking at the Rozgar Mela held in Guwahati, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said, "Yuva Shakti is the driving force behind India's growth story. Under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi, India has emerged as one of the strongest nations globally."
"As we all unite with dedication and commitment toward realising an Atmanirbhar Bharat, envisioned by PM Modi ji, I urge each of you to join this inspiring journey, become true Karmayogis, and dedicate yourselves to the noble cause of nation-building. Due to the emphasis placed by PM Modi Ji on youth-led development, India has now assumed a significant role in this mission. As one of the foremost leaders driving the Indian economy, he has encouraged his peers to actively contribute towards building a self-reliant nation," he said.
He said, "Under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi, significant importance has been placed on empowering the nation's youth and strengthening the foundations of the state. Aligned with PM Modi's vision, India is moving steadfastly towards self-reliance, engaging in numerous initiatives across the nation. I am pleased to see that, in recent years, the youth from Assam and the other states from the Northeast have enthusiastically taken up this mission."
