"Har fikr ko dhuyen mein udata chala gaya...," Anil Vij trails in Haryana's Ambala Cantt

Ambala (Haryana) [India], October 8 : BJP seems on the brink of a strong comeback in Haryana as per trends published by Election Commission on Tueday
As per early trends by Election Commission of India, former minister and BJP candidate Anil Vij was shown trailing in the Ambala Cantt constituency by a margin of 13611 votes and independent candidate Chitra Sarwara leading with 14328 votes after four rounds of counting that began this morning.
When asked about the trends Vij hummed the iconic song from the movie 'Hum Dono' encapsulating Sadhir Ludhianvi's lines that attempt to capture the essence of embracing both the joys and sorrows of life.
"Mein Zindagi ka saath nibhata chala gaya Har fikr ko dhuen mein udaata chala gaya," sang Vij
The iconic lines of the song are voiced by famous singer Mohammed Rafi featuring actor Dev Anand also goes on to say "Jo Mil Gaya Usi Ko Muqaddar Samajh Liyaa/ Jo kho gaya main usko bhulata chala gaya" (Whatever I got, I considered that as my fate, whatever I lost, forgetting it, I just kept going).
Following the ECI's latest trends indicating a clean sweep for BJP in Haryana, Anil Vij said that the people of Haryana were teaching a lesson to Congress.
"We can see the people of Haryana teaching a lesson to Congress. In the morning, they (Congress) opened their 'Jhooth ki dukaan'...Within Congress, there are people who want Hooda to lose, and they were the ones who were bursting crackers," he said.
Haryana CM Nayab Singh continued his lead over Congress' Mewa Singh in the Ladwa Assembly constituency after round 4/16 of counting, as per the latest EC data.
Meanwhile, former Rajasthan CM and Congress leader Ashok Gehlot said that the ultimate victory will be of Congress in Haryana.
"Ultimate victory will be of Congress, Congress will form the govt...this is the fight of ideology," Gehlot said.
BJP candidates are leading in 48 of the 90 constituencies in the state, while the main opponent Congress is leading in 36 of the seats, as per the EC data at 11:15 am. 4 Independents and 1 candidate each of the INLD and BSP are also leading.
Though exit polls had predicted Congress's victory in the election, if the trend continues, the BJP is poised for a hatrick win in the Assembly election of the state.
Congress' Bhupinder Singh Hooda is leading from the Garhi Sampla-Kiloi seat with 16,823 over his nearest rival from BJP Manju.
BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla on Tuesday, speaking to ANI asserted that the BJP is set to form the government in Haryana for the third consecutive time, indicating strong public support for the party's work.
"I think whatever the results are, it is clear that this is a victory of EVM, Election Commission and India's democratic traditions. I hope that those who were celebrating after seeing the exit polls will not blame EVM after seeing the exact polls. Our government has been formed twice in Haryana and is going to be formed for the third time... In both places, the BJP is going to form the government with a clear majority, this shows how people have expressed faith in the work of BJP," he said.
