Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 19 : Himachal Pradesh's BJP President Dr Rajeev Bindal on Sunday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold two rallies on May 24, one in Nahan in Sirmaur district and the other in Mandi.
Taking to his official X handle, Bindal posted, "Meeting with the divisional officials regarding the huge public meeting of the Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji to be held at Chaugan Maidan, Nahan on May 24, 2024."
During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion took place regarding the upcoming rally to be led by PM Narendra Modi, scheduled for May 24.
On this occasion, Dr Rajeev Bindal said, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi's rally is going to be a blast in Himachal Pradesh. This rally will be held on May 24 at two places, Nahan and Mandi."
He further stated that the people of Himachal Pradesh are always excited about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and whenever he approaches the state, a new energy is generated among the workers and the public.
Providing details about the voters, Bindal said, "57,11,969 voters will cast their votes in the elections this time in Himachal. The final list released by the Election Department includes 28,48,301 male; 27,97,209 female and 35 transgender voters in the state."
He added, "Every voter has an attachment with PM Narendra Modi. While the PM is working for the upliftment of the country, the Congress party has always worked to backwards and break the country."
Taking a swipe at the UPA government, the BJP state President asserted that the Congress exhibited little concern for the nation's development, alleging that the party's governance had regressed India by a century. "If you compare the UPA government with the present NDA government, the difference will be clear, India has progressed 100 times. It seems that the Congress government had set India back by 100 years. They had no interest in the progress of the country, their only job was to sell the country to the Congress leaders and push it back."
Bindal also said that the visit of National President Nadda has given huge, new energy to the workers of Himachal Pradesh and committed them to victory. "After Jagat Prakash, now the Prime Minister will fill new enthusiasm and new strength," Bindal said.
A day ago, BJP National President J.P. Nadda addressed public rallies in Nurpur, Chamba (Kangra) and Kunihar (Solan) in Himachal Pradesh.
Polling in Himachal, which is scheduled for June 1, will not only pit candidates vying for Lok Sabha membership from four seats but also elect members for six assembly seats that fell vacant following the resignation and switchover of dissident Congress lawmakers. The BJP, which won all four Lok Sabha constituencies in the state in the 2019 elections, is eyeing an encore this time.
