Himachal CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu extends greetings on Shardiya Navratri

New Delhi [India], October 15 : Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended his wishes and greeting to the people on the occasion of Shardiya Navratri.
In a message to the people of the state, the Chief Minister said, "May this holy festival bring happiness, prosperity and new enthusiasm in everyone's life."
Sukhu also mentioned the devastating floods that shook the state of Himachal from July to September.
He said, "May the Goddess give strength to the people of the state to overcome the aftermath of the catastrophe that hit the state during the monsoons."

"It is only with the blessings of the Goddess that we get the strength and ability to move ahead in life crossing every hurdle," he added.
He wished well-being and happiness to the people of the state.

Himachal CM also took to X to extend his wishes on Navratri.
"Hearty congratulations and best wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion of Navratri. I wish everyone good health and happiness and prosperity," he posted on X.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his wishes on the first day of Navratri, greeted people and wished them happiness, fortune and good health.
"May Shakti Pradayini Maa Durga bring happiness, prosperity, good fortune and good health in everyone's life. Jai Mata Di!"
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami also wished poeple on Navratri in a video message. "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the people of the state on the great festival of Sharadiya Navratri dedicated to the worship of Mother Adishakti Bhagwati," he posted on X.
During the nine-day Navratri festival, devotees worship Maa Durga's nine incarnations in order to obtain her blessings. There is a goddess manifestation linked with each day of Navratri. People maintain ritualistic fasts, recite shlokas dedicated to each goddess, wear new clothing, offer bhog, and clean their homes during these nine days.
