Hoarding collapses in Delhi's Yamuna Vihar; One hurt, two vehicles damaged

New Delhi [India], May 4 : A 42-year-old man was injured after a hoarding installed at Gokulpuri Market Main Road in Delhi's Yamuna Vihar collapsed in the early hours of Saturday, police said.
According to officials, the hoarding installed at the entrance of Gokulpuri Market Main Road collapsed around 3:45 am after being hit by a truck working for Delhi Metro.
The hoarding fell on two vehicles, including a three-seater auto-rickshaw (TSR) and a pickup van, which were also damaged in the incident.
The auto-rickshaw driver, identified as Ajab Singh, a resident of Gokulpuri, was sitting on a bench and sustained injuries in the incident, DCP North East Joy Tirkey said.
Following the incident, locals of the area reached the spot and informed the police. Upon receiving information, a team of police reached the spot along with cranes, and the hoarding was removed.
The truck driver, however, fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
Based on the incident, a case under sections 279/336/337 IPC has been registered against him, and the police were further looking into the incident.
