HPAS probationers meet CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, urged to drive reforms

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], August 8 : Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) probationers called on Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Thursday.
The Chief Minister encouraged the officers to work with dedication and integrity for the welfare of the people of the state and urged them to drive reforms.
He emphasized the critical role that HPAS officers can play in the effective implementation of the various ambitious initiatives launched by the State Government for the benefit of the people of the state
The Chief Minister said that radical policy changes were being made by the state government to maximize benefits for all sections of the society. He encouraged the officers to take an active role in driving these reforms forward.
During the meeting, the probationers shared their training experiences with the Chief Minister and pledged to work diligently to meet the expectations of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Sanjay Awasthy, Secretary to the Chief Minister Rakesh Kanwar and Director of Information and Public Relations Rajiv Kumar were also present on the occasion.
Earlier this month, Himachal CM Sukhvinder Singh chaired a meeting of senior officers of the Power Department and emphasized the need to enhance solar power generation in the State.
Himachal CM said that a 32 MW Solar Power Project has been established at Pekhubela in Una district and a 10 MW solar power project and a 5 MW project were under construction in Kutlehar and Gagret assembly constituencies, respectively.
CM Sukhu said that Himachal Pradesh would be in a position to harness around 50 MW of solar energy in the coming six months.

A statement released by the Chief Minister's Office on Wednesday said, "Directions were given to the officers to expedite the ongoing solar power projects and commission these projects at the earliest besides identifying the new sites to set up solar power projects".
