New Delhi [India], May 19 : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said that all AAP leaders were put in jail, adding, "Humne Pradhanmantri banaya tha, Thanedaar thodi lekar aaye the."
Delhi CM addressed a rally in support of South Delhi Lok Sabha Seat candidate Sahiram Pahalwan today.
Kejriwal said that if people press the lotus button, he will have to go to jail again. But if they press the broom button, he will remain among them.
"They are after us. All the party leaders were put in jail. Yesterday, my PA was put in jail. And now they are saying that Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj will also be put in jail. Is this how the country runs? Humne Pradhan Mantri banaya tha, Thanedaar thodi lekar aaye the (We had made the Prime Minister, not a police officer)," he said.
"I ask for votes based on my work. After being in power for ten years, all you (PM Modi) are saying is 'bhatakti aatma', 'nakli santaan', and 'mangal sutra'. What is all this?" he added.
Further, CM Kejriwal emphasised that on June 4, the Modi government will not come back.
"They also know this and that is why they are in shock. INDIA bloc government will be formed and Delhi will be given the status of full state. We have improved the electricity, water and health sectors in Delhi. When Delhi gets full statehood, law and order will also be improved. After June 4, Delhi's LG will work for people. There will be a big change," Kejriwal said.
The Delhi CM also alleged that his medicines were stopped when he was in Tihar jail.
"I gave free medicines for the whole of Delhi but when I went to Tihar, they stopped my medicines for 15 days. I have been a diabetic patient for 20 years. I have been taking insulin injections for 10 years. My injections were also stopped in Tihar. I kept pleading in front of them that give me an injection. But as soon as the public and media raised their voice, they started giving me the injection," he added.
Earlier today, exuding confidence in winning the Lok Sabha polls in the national capital, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the Bharatiya Janata Party knows that on June 4, their government will not be formed.
Addressing the rally, he said, "Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se', 25 May, BJP gayi. They (BJP) are after us, putting all the leaders of our party in jail. What is this? If you can't win in Delhi, will you put everyone behind bars? I seek a vote based on the development work that our party has done. They know that on June 4, their government will not be formed. They also know that they will get fewer seats than 200."
AAP's Sahiram Pehelwan is in the electoral fray against BJP's Ramvir Singh Bidhuri.
Voting will take place in Delhi in the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha polls on May 20.
Meanwhile, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to target Arvind Kejriwal on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault by Delhi CM's personal aide Bibhav Kumar.
Yesteday, Bibhav was arrested by Delhi Police on the complaint of Maliwal.
After his arrest, Bibhav was produced before Delhi's Tis Hazari Court, which remanded her in police custody for five days.
Maliwal, in her complaint, alleged that Bibhav "slapped" her "at least seven to eight times" while she "continued screaming" and "brutally dragged" her while "kicking" her in her "chest, stomach and pelvis area."

As per the sources, Delhi Police will now retrieve the footage of the DVR with the help of technical experts and then an attempt will be made to analyse the sequence of crime.
Meanwhile, the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to target Arvind Kejriwal on AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal's alleged assault by Delhi CM's personal aide Bibhav Kumar.
Launching a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister over Swati Maliwal's alleged assault case, BJP's Amaravati candidate Naveen Rana said on Sunday that the women of the country should not stand in support of Arvind Kejriwal.
"I wonder who says to the women of Delhi, Punjab and the country that I am your brother. But when his own party's Rajya Sabha member is beaten inside his own house, he does not say anything about the case. The women of the nation should not stand in support of Arvind Kejriwal," Rana said.
Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Sunday alleged that the AAP is trying to save the accused responsible for assaulting the former Delhi Commission for Women chief.
"Arvind Kejriwal should answer why is he not speaking if a woman who is a Rajya Sabha member from his party has been assaulted by his people. She was not just verbally assaulted but physically assaulted too. Instead of giving justice to your MP, you are trying the save the accused. Kejriwal ji you should remember this is India, where 'Mahabharat' happened when Draupadi was insulted and the entire lineage was finished. Neither you nor your party will survive," Chouhan said while speaking to ANI.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari on Sunday came down heavily on Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, questioned his silence on the alleged assault case of Swati Maliwal and targeted him for protecting the person who misbehaved with Maliwal.
Addressing a press conference, Manoj Tiwari said, "Arvind Kejriwal is protesting to save a person who has misbehaved with a woman at his residence... The same man earlier talked about women's safety but today, Arvind Kejriwal is protesting to save the man who hit a woman..."
BJP's Madhavi Latha said that Arvind Kejriwal stands with the man who beats and insults women.
Madhavi told ANI that the issue is not about a party but about the honour of a woman.
"It would have been better if he (Kejriwal) had sat on the road to get justice for Swati, but he is sitting on the road to support the person who has beaten her. Despite having children of his own, he could not have a fatherly feeling. "What would these people have done if Swati had been their real sister or daughter? The issue here is not about the party but about the honour of a woman," she said.
