Hyderabad student suicide: BRS MLA Nagendar criticise BJP, Congress for politicising incident

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], October 14 : After a student allegedly died by suicide due to a delay in Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) exam notification, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Danam Nagender on Saturday accused Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress of politicising the incident.
Calling the incident "unfortunate", MLA Nagendar said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will ensure justice for the deceased.
"The incident that happened yesterday is unfortunate. I saw the statement of the girl that she did it because of depression. I also saw the police's statement that she had been in depression for the last 10 days. Some people are short-tempered and make hasty decisions. We are very worried about it and on behalf of the BRS party, KT Rama Rao and the CM KCR will definitely serve them justice," MLA Nagendar said while speaking to ANI in Hyderabad.
But the BJP and the Congress make CM K Chandrasekhar Rao or Minister KT Rama Rao responsible for everything, he added.
"If someone makes a wrong and hasty decision and commits suicide, then how is the CM responsible for it? We are providing them with a lot of schemes and facilities. The BJP and the Congress find a topic and politicise it. We will do everything for the family. If someone has died, how is KCR responsible for it," Nagenar said.
According to the police, a 25-year-old student allegedly died by suicide in her hostel room in Telangana's Ashok Nagar.
The police said a suicide note was recovered from the spot in which the victim stated that she was sorry to her family and that she couldn't do anything for them.
Pranay Kumar, the brother of the deceased said that his sister fell into depression due to the delay in examinations as she was preparing for it for a long time.
Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan earlier today extended condolences to the parents and family members of the deceased and also directed the Chief Secretary, the Director General of Police and the Secretary of TSPSC to send a detailed report of this incident.
Governor Soundararajan also urged the unemployed youth in the state to lose hope and to exhibit courage in their pursuit of gainful employment.
