Iconic brand 'Avartana' advances its presence as 5th Avartana opens at ITC Maurya in New Delhi

New Delhi [India], October 3 : ITC Hotels opens the fifth dining establishment of its pioneering brand in reinvented Southern Indian cuisine mosaics 'Avartana' at ITC Maurya, New Delhi. Avartana, another globally recognized culinary brand now joins ITC Maurya's signature food and beverage repertoire.
Already a huge success at ITC Grand Chola in the south, ITC Royal Bengal in the east and ITC Maratha in the west, the legacy of this award-winning restaurant now comes to ITC Maurya in the north as Avartana continues to gain popularity at ITC Ratnadipa, ITC Hotels' first international hotel in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The kitchens at Avartana aim to curate the mysticism and magic that the word personifies by exploring new frontiers southern Indian gastronomy and delving into the past with modernistic expressions. The chefs try to take approach of cooking and blending elements of art and science to create a distinctive culinary experience. The menus--Anika, Bela, Jiaa, Maya, and Tara--offer a curated journey through various courses, each designed to provoke curiosity and invite reflection. These menus explore different themes, reshaping the dining experience with every dish, and encouraging guests to engage with food in new and unexpected ways.
Anika is a thirteen- course menu that embodies grace with innovative theatrics. Jiaa is an eleven-course menu that is all about experimental fusion. The nine-course menu, Bela enchants one with playful presentations. Weaving together flavors, Maya's surreal medleys transport one to the southern Indian peninsula. Tara is also a thirteen-course seafood exclusive menu.
The restaurant's location offers a view of the green ridge and reflects a design inspired by the landscape of peninsular southern India. The space incorporates traditional elements like banana leaves, accentuated with brass geometric patterns, as a central feature of the interiors. The color scheme combines mellow gold, pastel tones, light wood, and silver-hued upholstery, enhanced by copper and amber art objects and soft-edged, modern decor. Earthenware, steel cutlery, and contemporary glassware complete the setting.
The globally recognised culinary brand is a 54-seater restaurant (with a Private Dining Room accommodating 10 guests). ITC Maurya also showcases world renowned, award-winning dining destinations Bukhara and Dum Pukht.
