Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], November 5 : Congress candidate from Hatia assembly constituency, Ajay Nath Shah Deo expressed concern over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's statement that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress support illegal Bangladeshi immigrants for vote bank politics and said that if there are infiltrators then PM Modi should drive them away from Jharkhand.
Ajay Nath Shah Deo said, "If there are infiltrators then PM Modi should drive them away from Jharkhand. The govt at the centre belongs to BJP and they should drive them away. If such a serious issue of infiltration is just being made an election issue, this means that their intentions are not right. PM Modi is talking about dividing people. We should focus on improving health services, education, employment. I will improve the lives of the public of the Hatia assembly constituency."
He further said that his focus is on changing the lives of people.
"In the slum areas of Ranchi, children face difficulty during studies. In a small congested room, all the activities are being performed which hampers studies. If I build a reading room and library in this area then the youth will get the advantage. I wish to work on community health centers to reduce the expenses of the people if the face health issues." he added.
Congress candidate Ajay Nath Shah Deo is contesting against Navin Jaiswal of the BJP for Hatia assembly constituency.
Earlier PM Modi on Monday accused the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress of supporting illegal Bangladeshi immigrants for vote bank politics.
Addressing a public rally in Garhwa, Jharkhand PM Modi said, "The policy of appeasement has reached its peak. These (JMM-RJD-Congress) three parties are determined to break social harmony. These three parties support illegal immigrants. To gain the votes of Bangladeshi infiltrators, they are settling these immigrants all over Jharkhand."
He further alleged that the Jharkhand government has become enslaved by the mafia and urged the people to vote for BJP to "harm the mafia system made by JMM-RJD-Congress."
"Jharkhand govt has become enslaved by the mafia. The people are being forced to migrate. Your every vote will harm the mafia system made by JMM-RJD-Congress here," PM Modi said.
The Jharkhand Assembly elections are set to be held in two phases on November 13 and 20, with vote counting scheduled for November 23. In the previous assembly election, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha won 30 seats, the BJP won 25 and Congress won 16 seats.
