Patna (Bihar) [India], November 16 : Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Congress and RJD and accused them of plaguing the state into darkness by their mis governance.
He alleged that both parties have done injustice to the backward and other backward classes sections of the society in the state.
"...If there is darkness in Bihar, roads are not being built, and hospitals are not working properly, then Lalu Prasad Yadav is responsible for this. If reservation had been implemented in the country earlier, then half of the secretaries of the country would have been from OBC," Chaudhary told reporters here.
He said that both Congress and RJD does not have any vision for the country.
He added, "But Congress and RJD do not talk about the development of Bihar and Congress does not have any vision for the country... whether it is Rajiv Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, Indira Gandhi, all have done injustice to the backward and OBC sections of the society..."
Meanwhile, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday challenged Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to publicly commit to conducting a caste census.
Addressing a public rally in Maharashtra's Shirdi, Priyanka Gandhi said, "I challenge PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to stand on a stage and declare that they will conduct a caste census and remove the 50 per cent cap on reservation."
The Congress leader highlighted that her brother Rahul Gandhi undertook the Bharat Jodo Yatra to advocate for a caste census.
"They (BJP) claim my brother is against reservation. This is the same person (Rahul Gandhi) who walked from Manipur to Mumbai demanding justice. He walked from Kanyakumari to Kashmir demanding a caste census. They spread lies because they are scared. How can we allocate reservations effectively without knowing the population composition of each caste?" she added.
