New Delhi [India], March 28 : Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla on Thursday said that the INDIA bloc is working on a 'four-point modus operandi' which involves "looting of public money, lying, getting caught then play victimhood card and attack insitutions if it does not work."
In this regard, BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that INDIA bloc has a four-point modus operandi, which consists of "playing victimhood card".
"In the INDI alliance, the Congress Party which is the oldest party, the AAP, which is the most newly formed party and all the 'Pariwaarwadi' parties, their character has become to loot, lie, get caught and then become victims and put pressure on the institutions. This has become their four-point modus operandi: we will keep looting, we will keep lying, and when caught, we will start playing the victimhood card. If that victimhood card does not work, then we will keep on attacking the institutions," he said.
Addressing a press conference here today, Poonawalla while mentioning the letter sent by lawyers to the Chief Justice of India, said that they constantly make false accusations against the justice system to protect themselves when legal action is taken against their corruption earnings.
"Sometime ago today, PM Modi tweeted, which is absolutely correct. Today many advocates and lawyers have written a letter to CJI in which they have mentioned about a vested interest group. They constantly make false accusations against the justice system to protect themselves when legal action is taken against their corruption earnings, and sometimes they make arguments to put pressure on the justice system," Poonawalla added.
Further, the BJP spokesperson slammed the Aam Aadmi Party and said that for the first time, an attempt has been made to make the court a political arena.
"AAP likes to create drama but the whole country has seen how an attempt was made to make the court a place for political drama. What happened in the court today was an act of presenting "old wine in a new bottle". Today, pressure was put on the court by presenting the arguments that their lawyers had put forward in court earlier. Still, the court did not give any relief. Instead of accepting the court's decisions, they start creating a narrative," Shehzad Poonawalla said.
He also highlighted that today the court has not accepted their arguments and when their leaders like Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh does not get bail, they say that Democracy is being murdered.
"Is the Supreme Court, High Court, District and lower courts, not giving you relief even after listening to your case, is the court also working in the spirit of hostility?" he asked.
"Those who started with Swaraj, today come to the liquor scam. Those who swore on children that they would not go to a big bungalow, would not join hands with Congress, are with them today. First they do liquor scam and then when they go to jail, they release scammer orders to the government," he added.
