New Delhi [India], September 7: In a heartwarming display of gratitude and reverence for Mother Nature, the Indian Army organised another successful "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" tree plantation drive at Shekhawati Lines, Delhi Cantonment.
The campaign, which began on July 22, has already seen the planting of over 42 lakh trees to date.
The drive on Friday, held in conjunction with the "Go Green Station Initiative," aims to create a cleaner and healthier environment. Serving soldiers and defence civilians came together to plant saplings, demonstrating their collective commitment to the environment.
"Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" not only seeks to enhance green spaces but also strengthens the bond between individuals and their environment. As each tree takes root, it stands as a lasting testament to the nurturing spirit of mothers and our society's dedication to a healthier planet.
With this initiative, the Indian Army reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship and inspires others to join in the effort to preserve our natural world.
