Patna (Bihar) [India], July 11 : India's first Neon art exhibition 'NEOPHORIA' was held in Bihar's Patna on Thursday. It was the first neon art exhibition across the country where neon artists from across the state of Bihar gathered under one roof in collaboration with the Bihar Art and Culture Department.
Notably, it is a 4-day exhibition held in the Art Gallery of Bhatiya Nitya Kala mandir under the Bihar Art and Culture Department.
More than 15 neon artists participated in this event and over 50 artworks have been displayed in this exhibition. The art and culture department of Bihar has also appreciated this initiative where artists from across the state got a platform to showcase their artwork and also encourage the newcomer artists in Bihar.
Director Art and Culture Department of Bihar, Ruby highlighted that La Pintura is the concept behind this exhibition and that the neon colors have been used by the artists who participated in the exhibition.
"This is La Pintura made new concept. This is the first exhibition of its own kind. Neon colors have been used. La pintura group is mainly connected to youth. Wherever youths live they do new experiments. I wish more and more people come here as art is very important for the development of the society," said the Director Art and Culture Department of Bihar.
RJ Anjali who came to visit the exhibition expressed that it is a liberating feeling for Bihar as the artists in the state have got a platform to showcase their skills and talent.
"This is a liberating feeling for Bihar. When an artist introduces a new thing, it is a nice feeling. The artists in Bihar do not have the much-needed platform. Such exhibitions will promote the artist community in the state," said Anjali.
A visitor, Binda Singh told ANI that such exhibitions should be appreciated and more of such events must happen in the state.
"This is a very nice experience and very motivating for the youths of Bihar. Many artists got a platform. The event is praise-worthy. I hope more of such events happen," said the visitor.
An artist participating in the exhibition expressed his happiness and described the message he wanted to give through his painting.
"First of all, exhibitions getting organized in Bihar is a big matter. My painting depicts school and college fee hikes. Such platforms are very important for young artists like me," said artist Ritu Raj.
