Infiltration has been lower than past years, our border security grid is working strongly: J&K DGP Dilbagh Singh

Kathua (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], December 19 : Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Monday said that the border security is working strongly to thwart any infiltration attempt.
Speaking about the demolition drive being conducted against Anti-Nationalist elements in the state, J&K DGP Dilbagh Singh said that a lot of buildings and institutions have been built to spread terrorism.
"The drive is being conducted to demolish any institution or building being constructed to spread terrorism and against such people as well," he said.
He further added that this year infiltration has been lower than in past years.
"This year infiltration has been lower than in past years. Our border security grid is working strongly. We will thwart any infiltration attempt," said J&K DGP Dilbag Singh.
DGP Dilbag Singh said that police have seized a large quantity of drugs coming from across the border and a big drug de-addiction centre is being established by J&K Police.
"Pakistan is sending drugs to harm youth in India. Police have seized a large quantity of drugs coming from across the border. Illegal smuggling of drugs will be dealt with strictly. A big drug de-addiction centre is being established by J&K Police," added J&K DGP Dilbag Singh.
Earlier on December 11, DGP Dilbag Singh said that there are no "top commanders" of terrorists in the region while stating that 44 of them have been neutralized this year.
The official said that terrorism has reached its "lowest level" owing to the support of the locals including the youth.
