J-K: DGP Dilbagh Singh inaugurates JIC, CCTV control room in Rajouri

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 6 : Dilbagh Singh, Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday inaugurated Joint Interrogation Centre (JIT) and CCTV control room in Rajouri.
He said that with the support of local people, the Jammu and Kashmir police along with other security forces would foil each and every conspiracy of Pakistan and its agencies.
He interacted with Village Defence Committee (VDC) members and released a book. He also visited the Army Hospital to see the personnel injured in the Reasi encounter.
IGP CRPF Sandeep Khirwar, DIG CRPF Ops Jammu Zone, Rakesh Sathi, DIG Rajouri-Poonch Range Dr Haseeb Mughal, SSP Rajouri Shri Amritpal Singh, SSP Poonch Shri Vinay Kumar and other jurisdiction officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking to the media, the DGP, regarding the 5th August encounter at Khawas areas of Rajouri, said “On receiving the information regarding the movement of terrorists, the DO concerned along with local VDC members without wasting any time launched the operation in the area. The operation was subsequently joined by the Army and in the encounter a Pakistani terrorist was neutralized. Some terrorists managed to escape during the encounter adding that after some time another terrorist was found dead in Reasi area. His details were already shared by ADGP Jammu.”
Dilbagh Singh further praised the Indian Army's efforts in foiling the evil intentions of Pakistan.
“Pakistan with its evil intentions is pushing terrorists in Rajouri and Poonch area and with the local support J-K police and other security forces have foiled many attempts by neutralizing infiltrated terrorists. Those who managed to escape are being tracked.”
He congratulated the Rajouri Police, CAPFs, and the people of the area for these successful operations.
“Security has been further augmented on borders and each and every terrorist in the area would be tracked down. He also appreciated the commitment of VDC members and the civilians for their contribution to anti-terror operations. With the support of people, the JK Police along with other security forces would foil each and every conspiracy of Pakistan and its agencies,” he added.
Meanwhile, one terrorist was killed in a joint operation conducted by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Reasi district, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Indian Army said that a hardcore terrorist was eliminated in a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the Reasi district.
"War-like stores including one AK series assault rifle with magazines were recovered during the search following the encounter," an official said.
