J-K: Training begins for polling staff as state gears up for assembly polls

Rajouri (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], September 15 : Ahead of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections, a training program for polling staff is being conducted in the Budhal Assembly constituency on Sunday.
In Jammu and Kashmir, voting will be held for its 90-member assembly in three phases. The first phase of voting is scheduled on September 18, the other two rounds will be held on September 25 and October 1. Counting to take place on October 8.
On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the upcoming assembly elections will decide the fate of Jammu and Kashmir in terms of governance and accused major political parties in the state of 'pariwarwad'.
Addressing his first rally for the assembly elections, he also said that terrorism was taking "its last breath" in Jammu and Kashmir and the change that has come in the last 10 years is no less than a dream.
The stones that were pelted are now being used to create a new Jammu and Kashmir, he said.
The Prime Minister said, "pariwarwad' did not allow the youth to come forward and he has tried to bring forward a new leadership in Jammu and Kashmir."
National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmed said that the environment in the state amidst the assembly election preparations is in favour of the National Conference (NC). He further said that a lot of people gathered on the streets in support of NC.
Speaking to reporters, Jammu and Kashmir National Conference MP Mian Altaf Ahmed said, "The environment is in our favour. When I entered the area, all the way from Khawas to here, there were people on the streets (in our support). I am sure that we have already won this seat. We will campaign on all legislative constituencies of Rajouri and we will say whatever is needed. People are supporting us."
