Jabalpur blast case: Police announce Rs 15000 reward on scrapyard owner

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 30 : In a significant development in the Jabalpur blast case, police announced a reward of Rs 15000 on the head of the owner of a scrapyard where a blast occurred, an official said on Tuesday.
The blast occurred in the scrapyard located near Khajri Khiriya bypass under the jurisdiction of Adhartal police station in Jabalpur district at around 12 pm on April 25. Two people were killed in the blast.
Following this, the district administration razed down the illegal constructions of the scrapyard located in Anand Nagar in the city on April 26. Earlier, an FIR was registered against the owner of the scrapyard, Shamim Rza, who absconded after the incident.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sonali Dubey said, "Two persons have been arrested in the matter so far. The main accused Haji Shamim Rza has been absconding since the incident occurred. A reward of Rs 15000 has been announced for his arrest."
"It was not a normal LPG cylinder blast. It is an explosive blast. We will provide more information only after the probe report comes. A team of National Security Guard (NSG) is currently investigating the matter with the help of local police," Dubey said.
Further investigation into the matter is underway, the officer further said.
