"Jharkhand govt is corrupt, we will make efforts for BJP's victory in assembly polls," says BJP's Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Ranchi (Jharkhand) [India], June 23 : Union Minister and BJP Jharkhand Assembly election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan alleged on Sunday that the Jharkhand government is corrupt and has not fulfilled promises made during elections.
The Union Minister said this at a press conference on Sunday. He spoke about the party's preparations for upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand which were aimed at making Jharkhand free from bad governance.
Speaking about BJP's action plan for upcoming elections, Chouhan said, "Now, we want Jharkhand to be freed from bad governance. In this regard, we have had long discussion and meetings. To achieve this goal, the whole team will work under the leadership of Babulal Marandi Ji. I and Hemanta Ji has come to support this team. The level of confidence we have spotted in the party workers, shows that the BJP will win the upcoming assembly elections."
Speaking about the elections results of 2024, Shivraj said, "This is democracy in which we win some seats while lose some. But overall, the BJP has acquired maximum vote shares with higher vote percentage."
Taking a jibe at the JMM-Congress ruling government in the state, the in-charge for Jharkhand assembly election regarded Jharkhand's ruling government as 'ghatiya' and said, "In the whole nation, Jharkhand Government is most corrupted and worst government."
"Today I won't go in long discussions, but yet, the promises they made, they never fulfilled any one of it. They promised government jobs, did they provided offer letters? They talked about providing 'Unemployment allowance', did they initiated anything upon it? The loot that is going on in Jharkhand has never been seen before," he added.
Questioning about the allocated money to Jharkhand, the Union Minister said, "When I was evaluating the amount money allocated from Rural Development Ministry to Jharkhand, it was around Rs 21,055 crore in different-different schemes. For MGNREGA scheme, the department had allotted Rs 1,111 crores. But where did all the money went? Did they successfully implement the MGNREGA Scheme in the state?"
He further mentioned, "They looted the state in every aspect whether it is about sand, coals or minerals. We are not going into deep, but we will definitely open up about their corruption."
Praising his own party, Chouhan stated, "Jharkhand is heading towards destruction but the solution to it is Bharatiya Janata Party and for it, all the party workers and leaders will make every possible effort to make BJP victorious in the state and form government to establish a good governance in the state. The government will be formed to fulfil Narendra Modi's Ji resolution of 'developed India' (Vikshit Bharat) by making Jharkhand developed (Vikshit Jharkhand)."
He also expressed his thankfulness towards the public for Jharkhand for making the NDA victorious on nine seats out of 14 in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
Expressing his gratitude, Chouhan asserted, "It's country fate that honourable Narendra Modi Ji is elected as the Prime Minister of country for the third consecutive term. This has happened after 1962. Jharkhand has played a big role in NDA's mandate to elect Prime Minister and form government. I want to express gratitude to all the party workers of the state."
Shivraj Singh Chouhan further stated, "Today, under the leadership of Babulal Marandi Ji, we have also decided to facilitate all the party workers on their winning booth. This is huge success."
Earlier in the day, Union Minister and Jharkhand Assembly election in-charge Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Assam Chief Minister and Jharkhand Assembly election co-incharge Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting to discuss the strategy for the upcoming Assembly elections.
Chouhan and Sarma planted trees at ICAR, Namkum campus and Lichi Bagan in Ranchi's Hatia area, respectively, as part of the party's 'Ek ped maa ke naam' drive.
Along with Jharkhand, Haryana, Maharashtra, and Jammu and Kashmir will also undergo Assembly polls.
The terms of the existing Jharkhand Legislative Assembly will end in January 2025 and the Election Commission (EC) has kicked off preparations for holding Assembly elections.
