JK LG Manoj Sinha unfurls national flag on 76th Republic Day

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], January 26 : Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday unfurled the national flag on the occasion of the 76th Republic Day at the Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present on this occasion.
The LG also laid a wreath at the Balidan Stambh and paid tribute to the martyrs.
Addressing the media, the LG extended his wishes to the people and remembered the sacrifices made by the security personnel, police, and jawans.
"I congratulate you all on Republic Day. We remember the sacrifices made by the security and police jawans on this day. There is peace in Jammu and Kashmir...Various sections of society today have been empowered and lot of steps taken for their welfare.." the LG said.
Further, he underlined that the focus was on the development and progress of everyone.
"Our focus is development and progress of all.. The ECI conducted peaceful polls of Lok Sabha and assembly.. people have participated in these polls which means that they have rejected terrorism and separatism," the JK LG further added.
Sinha also stated that the government was committed to conducting Panchayat polls in the future.
"We are committed to conduct Panchayat polls in coming times ..We are keen to ensure that development are being made for to everyone living in Jammu and Kashmir ..Security and peace is our priority..." Sinha said.
He also discussed the improvement of the state's economy, noting a rise in GDP.
"Economy of Jammu and Kashmir has seen a lot of boost in recent times...the contribution of GDP has also seen a rise," he added.
Additionally, the LG mentioned efforts to develop infrastructure for improving road connectivity.
"We are making huge efforts to develop infrastructure like developing road connectivity...We are giving focus on improving and expanding health, education and other related infrastructure. New tunnels and roads have been constructed in recent times. Kashmir is going to be connected with railway very soon which will boost economy in Kashmir valley. We have taken many steps to solve issues of Kashmiri migrants. New flats have been constructed for them in Kashmir valley," the LG further said.
As India celebrates its 76th Republic Day, people across the country are celebrating the day with great enthusiasm, immersing themselves in the spirit of patriotism. The atmosphere is vibrant as the entire country comes together to honor its democratic values and the importance of the Constitution.
