Jungle Safari in Chhattisgarh's Raipur all set to welcome new animals

Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India] June 18 : Nandanvan Jungle Safari in Chhattisgarh's capital is all set to welcome new guests like chimpanzee, zebra, Assam's monkey, ring-tailed lemur and other animals.
The authority of the jungle safari is planning to develop new enclosures for the new animals.
"Presently, the Jungle Safari is housing 28 animals in 36 enclosures and in the future eight more enclosures will be developed here. The authority here is planning to bring different animals like chimpanzees, zebra, Assam monkey and ring-tailed lemur," Director of Jungle Safari Ganveer Dhammshil, elaborating that process in this direction is underway.
According to the requirements of different animals and parameters of Central Zoo Authority, the enclosure will be developed, said the officer.
He elaborated that the enclosure for zebra will be sprawling in an area of around 10000 square meters while 700 meters will be for monkeys. Enclosures of different sizes will be developed for separate animals.
The jungle safari will have a special animal keeper to take care of the new animals, informed Dhammshil and further added that the animals will be provided with separate diets, sitting arrangements, trees and spaces for movement.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the massive man-made jungle safari, spreadiaround 800 acres of land, in Naya Raipur on November 1, 2016. The Jungle Safari includes four safaris: herbivore, Lion, Tiger, and bear.
