Bagdogra (West Bengal) [India], October 23 : A day after Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee was suspended for the day from the JPC session on Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 after he reportedly smashed a glass bottle during the meeting, BJP leader Nisith Pramanik on Wednesday said that he is a repetitive offender and has multiple times hurt the dignity of the Parliament House.
"Kalyan Banerjee has done things in the past as well, which has hurt the dignity of the Parliament House. He was previously warned about it. Such a senior leader must speak carefully. This kind of repetitive behaviour is done in the House to destroy its dignity. I think it does not suit any leader to behave like this in the house. His behaviour is unacceptable," said Pramanik.

"The behaviour of the TMC MP is opposite of the parliamentary conduct, and it is saddening. Cognizance should be taken of it; otherwise, the dignity of parliamentary democracy will not remain..." said Neeraj Kumar.
