Karnataka CM, Dy CM pay floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on Gandhi Jayanti

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], October 2 : Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramiah and Deputy CM Shivakumar on Wednesday paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary.
On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Congress party will be holding a Padayatra from Gandhi Bhavan to Vidhana Soudha.
On this occasion, Siddaramiah took to social media X and wished the people.
"In a world full of communalism, dictatorship and violence, only Mahatma Gandhi, the embodiment of truth, peace and non-violence, can lead us by the hand. Bapu's life and thoughts have given me courage, strength and hope even in my current struggle of facing the real test of truth. Happy Gandhi Jayanti to all the people of the country," the post on X read.
Deputy CM DK Shivakumar also took to X and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.
"Today, on #GandhiJayanti, let us pay tribute to the visionary leader whose principles of non-violence, truth, and justice reshaped the course of history. Bapu's message of harmony and justice is timeless, inspiring us to rise above division and work together for the common good. Let us recommit to his ideals and build a future grounded in compassion and unity," Shivakumar's post read.
Meanwhile, earlier today, paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on the occasion of his 155th birth anniversary at Rajghat in the national capital.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Union Minister Manohar Lal and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, also paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi paid his heartfelt tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary, emphasising the lasting impact of Bapu's life and ideals based on truth, harmony and equality, and said that these principles continue to inspire the people of the country.
"On behalf of all countrymen, salutations to Pujya Bapu on his birth anniversary. His life and ideals based on truth, harmony and equality will always remain an inspiration for the countrymen," PM Modi said in a post on X.
