New Delhi [India], August 16 : Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge launched a scathing attack on the BJP ahead of the Haryana Assembly elections, predicting the party's departure from the state.
Kharge criticized the BJP's tenure, claiming, "The wait of the people of Haryana is now going to end, because the departure of BJP from the state is now certain."
Kharge highlighted issues such as high unemployment and alleged recruitment scams, stating, "In the last 10 years, the double-engine BJP government in Haryana has given nothing but deceit to the people. Our farmers and youth are suffering."
He further accused the BJP of failing to maintain law and order and of attempting to divide the social fabric of the state.
Emphasizing Congress' role, Kharge asserted, "Congress is the only party that can give Haryana a credible option. We are a party that takes along 36 communities." he added.
"We have done development in the past and we are determined to bring Haryana back on the path of development," he said.
Kharge urged Congress workers to engage actively with the electorate, saying, "Congress workers should reach out to the people and leave no stone unturned to ensure our victory."
Meanwhile, Former Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday asserted that the BJP will form the government for the third time in the state as the public has lost faith in Congress.

The public has lost faith in Congress and the people of Haryana will not trust them," Khattar told reporters.
