London [UK], April 27 : The British Royal Family announced on Friday that King Charles III will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis.
The Royal Family took on X, and said, "His Majesty the King will shortly return to public-facing duties after a period of treatment and recuperation following his recent cancer diagnosis."
The King and the Queen will make a joint visit to a cancer treatment centre next Tuesday to mark this milestone.
At the centre, they will also meet medical specialists and patients.
Moreover, this visit will be the first of a number of external engagements King is about to undertake in the weeks ahead.
According to the post by the royal family, the King and Queen are expected to host the Emperor and Empress of Japan for a state visit in June.

As the first anniversary of The Coronation approaches, they further expressed gratitude for the kindness and good wishes received from across the world throughout the joys and challenges of the past year.
Britain's King Charles III was diagnosed with a form of cancer in February. The King of Britain was then advised by his doctors to postpone public-facing duties.
Earlier this month, King Charles III made his most significant public appearance, his first since his recent cancer diagnosis, attending the traditional Easter Mattins church service at St. George's Chapel in Windsor, CNN reported.
Despite his health challenges, the King has maintained a steady involvement in state affairs, attending to official matters and meeting with various dignitaries and community leaders.
